PrettyBoy Chance is helmed by San Francisco-based songwriter & guitarist Mike Rosenblum. Mike invites musicians to deconstruct his original songs in order to create something completely new - displaying his vulnerability not just in the intensely soulful songs he writes, but the entire process the band uses to make music.

The debut album, Chasing the Sun, was produced, recorded and mixed by Travis Kasperbauer (the Go-Gos, Jackson Browne, and George Clinton, among others) and MikeL Ross at San Francisco's iconic Lucky Recording Company. The album features Paulo Baldi on drums (former member of the band CAKE), Joe Gore on  guitar (recorded and/or toured withTom Waits, PJ Harvey, and Tracy Chapman among others), and MikeL Ross on bass (Brown/Brite Boy/MountainHobo).
